Wonderful Wednesday
Dear Parents,
What a wonderful semester it has been! As we come to the end of the school year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the many accomplishments of our Grade 1 A1 students.
This will be my final blog of the school year as your child's A1 teacher. Next year, Ms. Megan will be returning to teach your children, and I am sure the students will be excited to welcome their teacher back. Parents, please continue your wonderful support and dedication at home. Your involvement has made a tremendous difference, and your children are fortunate to have such caring families supporting their learning journey.
I am extremely pleased with the progress, determination, and positive attitude that the students have demonstrated throughout the year. Learning a new language can be challenging, but the children consistently showed a willingness to participate, learn, and do their very best. Their hard work has helped them grow in all areas of English, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
Over the course of the school year, we completed the entire A1 curriculum, and the students developed a strong foundation in English. They learned new vocabulary, improved their reading comprehension skills, practiced writing complete sentences, and gained confidence communicating in English. Most importantly, they learned that success comes through effort, perseverance, and a willingness to keep trying.
It has been a pleasure watching the students grow both academically and personally. Many students who were once hesitant to participate are now eager to answer questions, share ideas, and use English in the classroom. Their growth has been impressive, and they should all be very proud of what they have accomplished this year.
Now that we have completed this school year's curriculum, it is time for the students to enjoy a well-deserved break. Summer vacation is an opportunity to relax, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy new experiences. After working so hard throughout the year, the students have certainly earned time to recharge and celebrate their achievements.
Although school is finished for the summer, I strongly encourage students to continue practicing English whenever possible. Reading English books is one of the best ways to maintain and improve language skills. Even a few minutes of reading each day can help students retain vocabulary, strengthen comprehension skills, and build confidence. Listening to English songs, watching age-appropriate English programs, and practicing simple conversations are also excellent ways to continue learning while having fun.
I would also like to thank all of the parents for your continued support throughout the school year. Your encouragement, guidance, and involvement have played an important role in your child's success. The partnership between home and school is invaluable, and I truly appreciate everything you have done to support your child's English learning journey.
As I often remind the students, learning is a lifelong journey. There will always be new things to discover and new challenges to overcome. The key is to keep trying, keep practicing, and never give up. Every step forward, no matter how small, is progress.
Thank you for a fantastic school year. I am very proud of each and every student and all that they have achieved. I wish all of our A1 families a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer vacation.
Keep reading, keep learning, and continue exploring the world through English!
Have a wonderful summer!
Sincerely,
Ms. Dee
