Week 9: Friday (10/29)

Today, we completed our A1 Story Test.✨ The results are: 100%      3 students (hooray!🎇) There are only 3 students who got 100% which shows that the test was a little harder than usual. >90%      14 students >80%     10  students >70%     2 students Please sign the top right box, keep it inside the Communication Book and return it to school on Monday. Also remember that a sentence ends with a period . Students may also make corrections on their tests. Once I have checked it, it will be sent back home to keep.🏡 Homework tonight: 'Preview Week 10 Vocabulary Words' You can find these Vocabulary words in the  Communication Book on page 22 . We will just look ahead at them, no writing required. Week 9: Tuesday (10/26)

Students have a Simple sentence worksheet to complete at home. -  They need to  unscramble  the sentence. -  Then write down the sentence in the  correct order . -  They need to write down another  simple sentence  about the picture. -   Color  the picture.🌈🌈 (Return it in the Communication Book for me to check.) Week 8: Friday (10/22)

Today, we completed our A1 Friday quiz.✨      Note: Next week, we will write a Story Test , this means that the test will include questions from the story, 'Come Back Sam'. That is why we will continue with 'Come Back Sam' in Week 9. The results are: 100% 13 students (hooray!🎆) The quiz will be a little more difficult to challenge and improve students at A1 level. >90% 13 students Some students just forgot to answer all the questions. Once I have checked it, it will be sent back home for you to keep.🏡 Quiz notes: -  Once students are finished with the quiz, they need to turn the quiz upside down on their desks, and wait for me to take it. -  They will get a small paper to draw a picture (any picture) while they wait for other students to finish. -  This will be our weekly routine. We have been practicing recognizing Simple Sentences in our Readers and Writers Notebook (RWN). Here is a game below to practice simple sentences: Simple Sentences Game -  Pick the correct sentence. -  Make sure the words in the sentence match the picture. ⭐Just a reminder to students not to go ahead of the teacher in the Readers and Writers Notebook (RWN). ⭐Another reminder to please let me see the signed quiz in the communication book, if you haven't handed it in yet. I will write, " Thank you " to show that I have seen it. Most of 104 students didn't take their quizzes from the box, remember next time.⭐ ⭐Last reminder , DON'T  put the Communication Books in the box on Wednesday (tomorrow)  due to early morning classes. Week 6: Thursday (10/7)

Today, we practiced finding the middle sounds in words . Here is a game to practice more:  Monkey In The Middle - Create a word. -  Pick up the monkey that has the correct middle sound, and drag it to the middle of the word. - If you are successful, you will get three bananas. As a reward, you will get to play a short game to see how many bananas you can throw in a short time. - Then, you will get to play the 'middle sound' game again. We have completed our Vocabulary Words, so no need to hand in the bubble books tomorrow. The worksheet is due for tomorrow: - Please keep the worksheet inside the Communication Book for me to check. -  At the end of the day, if it has a stamp, then I have checked it. - If there are any corrections, please do them. Week 5: Friday (10/1)

Today, we wrote our 1st A1 quiz ! Quiz papers have been checked and sent home inside the communication books. The results for our quiz today: 100% 12 students (hooray!) >80% 16 students >60% 1 student  (Don't worry, we will keep practicing to succeed.) Please sign the top right box and return it to school on Monday. - Students need to realize how important it is not to look around or talk during a quiz. - I will repeat myself 3 times when doing the Listening Part A . Students just need to listen carefully and write what they hear. That is why it's so important that there is no noise at all. (However, students were very well behaved during the quiz, so thank you!)
