Dear Parents: Thank you for your patience as I get aclimated to this new class, and class routine. I am readily available to all parents for questions or concerns from 7:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. After I return home from work, I don't usually check my phone or computer. If it's an emergency you can call my cellphone 0938906774 (however your child not knowing their homework, or not understanding an assignment, doesn't warrent as an emergency. These kind of issues can be resolved in class the following day. ) As I get adjusted to the routine and schedule; please accept my sincear apology if I have missed anything which you are used to. I do want to address posting answer keys on line or in my blogs. Right now, I am learning my students abilities/weaknessess and would like the oportunity to assess my students. If they are not making any mistakes on homework that is turned in, I won't know how to better assist my students or learn their weak areas in which I would b...

Hi Parents: A good day to all: Yesterday was a very quick day for our A1 class as we had one period to get to know each other, pass out books, and also learn the new system that will be implemented in our A1 group. Write vocabulary words 1-6 ( flat, sled, trip, clip, drip, frog) 4X each word 3. Write 3 or more sentences about yourself. As I corrected the children's work from yesterday I was pleased with their diligence with their writing and true feelings. It was a great exercise and I look forward to more writing with my A1 students. Our homework for today 2/24 was as follows: 1. Read "Big Fox, Little Fox". 2. Write vocabulary words 7-12 ( change, many, start box, lay, pond 4X each word 3. Worksheet: write 2 phonics worksheets Please be sure to sign your child's communication book daily. Dear Parents of Grade 1 Class 102, Warm greetings! My name is Ms. Dee, and I will be teaching A1 during the absence of Teacher Megan while she is on maternity leave. I am truly honored to step into this role and support your children during this special time. I am originally from Hawaii and a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Hilo. I have many years of experience working with young learners, particularly at the Grade 1 level. Throughout my teaching career, I have developed a strong understanding of how first graders learn best—through structured guidance, positive encouragement, hands-on activities, and meaningful connections. My experience has shown that with the right balance of patience, creativity, and clear expectations, Grade 1 students thrive both academically and socially. It is truly a privilege to help pave the educational journey of these young minds. I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to inspire, guide, and nurture your children as they grow in confidence and...
