Dear Parents:

Thank you for your patience as I get aclimated to this new class, and class routine.

I am readily available to all parents for questions or concerns  from 7:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. After I return home from work, I don't usually check my phone or computer. If it's an emergency you can call my cellphone 0938906774 (however your child not knowing their homework, or not understanding an assignment, doesn't warrent as an emergency. These kind of issues can be resolved in class the following day.

As I get adjusted to the routine and schedule; please accept my sincear apology if I have missed anything which you are used to.

I do want to address posting answer keys on line or in my blogs. Right now, I am learning my students abilities/weaknessess and would like the oportunity to assess my students. If they are not making any mistakes on homework that is turned in, I won't know how to better assist my students or learn their weak areas in which I would be able to adjust my lessons accordingly. Please understand the children will have the assignment corrected and be able to correct their errors in class when we go over the lesson in class as a group.

I will happily post the answer key in the Line group on the day after the worksheet/or assignment is turned in for your reference. 😊

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  NO QUIZ THIS WEEK

AN OVERVIEW OF OUR DAY!

Today was a very busy day for the students, we began our day in our homerooms with a Science lesson and was very productive in our class.

We then had our level classes in which we were able to do quite a bit of work. The chldren first had a My View lesson to review the material focused on. Also we were able to complete a few pages in our books that we didn't have time for yesterday.

The children also worked on Phonics with our lesson's focus on Long A vowel sounds focusing on a_e. vocabulary words:

tape, cape, cane, mane

game, cake, name, lake

Tomorrow we will focus on e writing and oral practices. Please encourage your child to practice writing in the bubble book, even if it's to tell me what they ate for dinner, or did after school. I really want to focus on writing in this semester to build confidence. I'm looking forward to our Parents Day to meet all of you.

Have a great evening

Aloha

Ms. Dee
