Hi Parents: A good day to all:
Yesterday was a very quick day for our A1 class as we had one period to get to know each other, pass out books, and also learn the new system that will be implemented in our A1 group.
Our homework for yesterday 2/23 was as follows:
1. Preview the foundational skills story "Big Fox Little Fox" pgs. 21-23
2. Write vocabulary words 1-6 ( flat, sled, trip, clip, drip, frog) 4X each word
3. Write 3 or more sentences about yourself.
As I corrected the children's work from yesterday I was pleased with their diligence with their writing and true feelings. It was a great exercise and I look forward to more writing with my A1 students.
Our homework for today 2/24 was as follows:
1. Read "Big Fox, Little Fox".
2. Write vocabulary words 7-12 ( change, many, start box, lay, pond 4X each word
3. Worksheet: write 2 phonics worksheets
Please be sure to sign your child's communication book daily. Also please review "weekly conversation" sentences.
Here's a little overview of the children's expectations for Ms. Dee's class.
Ms. Dee has a very interesting way of operating our class; to ensure all of my student has the same insentive to learn, I have "Ms. Dee Dollars". The students will be given the oportunity to earn Ms. Dee Dollars by:
1. Following rules- (not speaking Chinese during English class time, being respectful towards peers)
Please prepare a blue pen for your child's pencilcase for corrrections purpose.
3. Turning in homework- (completing assigned work promptly)
4. Participation (participating in class discussions and class activities)
5. Punctuality- (being in class on time)
However: if any student doesn't follow any of the requirements of Ms. Dee's rules, they will lose ALL of their dollas earned. I want for the children to understand the importance of being a model student.
The students will also be able to spend their Ms. Dee Dollars at the end of each month at Ms. Dee's store. (I'll set up items in the class and allow the students to purchase stationary, toys, snacks or other goods I may find for the children).
Students will be required to bring their Ms. Dee Dollars to every class.
Thank you for your understanding and co-operation with your child's educational journey.
Aloha:
Ms. Dee
