G1 1st Monthly Exam Scope, Spring 2024

 

Dear parents,

 

Exams will be held on:

 

Listening Exam – Wednesday, March 20th, 2024

Oral Exam  Friday, March 22nd, 2024

Written Exam – Wednesday, March 27th, 2024

 

The exams may cover the following: 

 

LISTENING EXAM:

Communication book vocabulary Weeks 1-5

 

ORAL EXAM:   

Students will be asked to read a short paragraph that focuses on the vocabulary from W1-5 and use a complete sentence to answer 5 questions based on the text. They can look at the text to find answers, but they won’t see the questions. Students will be evaluated on fluency, pronunciation, intonation, and clarity.

 

WRITTEN EXAM

Vocabulary Comprehension:  Vocabulary words from weeks 1-5

 

Story comprehension:

A Big Fish for Max

The Farmer in the Hat

 

Phonics:

Students may be asked to identify:

Digraphs: sh, th, a, al

Long vowel: a_e

Consonants: soft c and soft g
