Tiring Tuesday,
As we returned from the long holiday weekend, some children felt a little tired and not very excited to be back in class. Luckily, it was our A1 Shopping Day, which helped lift everyone’s spirits. The children enjoyed using their “Ms. Dee Dollars” to buy items.
A few students chose not to buy anything, but most of the class spent their money. For many children, this was their first time having this kind of experience, and they really enjoyed it. It was wonderful to see them use their skills in math, thinking, and budgeting to choose the things they really wanted.
As we continue the semester, students are encouraged to keep following classroom expectations so they can earn and save their Ms. Dee Dollars. For some students, this was an important learning moment, as they now understand that losing their dollars means missing out on rewards. Knowing there is a reward at the end is motivating the children to keep trying and earn more, so they can make bigger purchases in the future.
This week being another short week will be filled with a lot of review as the children prepare for the up-coming Mid-Term exam. Please encourage your child to review as much as possible to ensure they will do well on the exam. The Exam scope is already in your child's communication book Week 10. Look over the material and practice with your child reading, listening, and comprehension practices.
We will have a fast week.
