For homework,

Reading:

- We will continue reading 'A Place to Play'πŸ™†, from pages 16-33 in our new Reading Street (1.3) books.

Bubble Book:

- Neatly write out Vocabulary Words 8 - 14 (x4) in the Bubble Book.


- Corrections - Check if there is a star '*', you will need to write the sentence again.

- Write the date at the top - Tuesday, 4/23

- Write the VWs and number; 8 - 14

- Then write 3 sentences and number each one; 1 - 3

For example:

1. I need to sharpen my pencil.

2. By the time I finish my homework, it'll be dinner time.

3. Always try your best.

- In each sentence, underline each VW used.

Exams will be held on:

Listening Exam – Wednesday, May 1st, 2024

Oral Exam – Friday, May 3rd, 2024

Written Exam –Wednesday, May 8th, 2024


The exams may cover the following:

LISTENING EXAM:
Communication book vocabulary Weeks 7-11


ORAL EXAM:
Students will be asked to read a short paragraph that
focuses on the vocabulary from W7-11 and use a
complete sentence to answer 5 questions based on the
text. They can look at the text to find answers, but they
won’t see the questions. Students will be evaluated on
fluency, pronunciation, intonation, and clarity.

Phonics:
Students may be asked to identify:
Long vowel: i_e, o_e, e_e, -e-, u_e, -y

Contractions: can’t, it’ll, isn’t, I’m, didn’t


WRITTEN EXAM:
Vocabulary Comprehension: Vocabulary words from
weeks 7-11

Story comprehension:
- The Big Circle
- Honey Bees
