Welcome to 2023!

We will still have bubble book homework, but no worksheets this week. Please study well for the upcoming exams.


For homework,

Reading:

- We will read 'Alexander Graham Bell'📞 again, from pages 174-183 in our Reading Street (1.5) books.

Bubble Book:

- We will write out our new Vocabulary Words 1-12, in our bubble book.

Practice writing each Vocabulary Word (X4) neatly on the green line.


- Check corrections - Check if there is a star '*', you will need to write the sentence again.

- Write the date at the top - Tuesday, 1/3

- Write the VWs and number; 1-12

- Then write 5 sentences and number each one; 1-5

For example:

1. Let's invent something great! ⚙

2. Would you like to travel on a sailboat around the world? ⛵

3. It's time to make a speech. 🎤

4. I don't like to watch football.🏈

5. It would be awful if it rained all day. 


- In each sentence, underline each VW used.

Week 4: Friday (9/22)

   For homework: - Read Reading Street 1.R , P66-79  📘 - Preview Week 5 vocabulary words Just look ahead at them, no writing needed. Here are the  A1 quiz results : 100%      - 12 students (Well done! 🙌) > 90%     - 16 students > 60%     - 1 student Remember, these scores  don't  count towards anything. 🚫 It is just practice. Students should focus on the  vocabulary words  and  story  of the week for each quiz. Students may do corrections on their quiz paper and parents may sign the quiz paper and put it inside the Communication Book for me to find. Enjoy your Friday! 👋
