Homework

Reading:

- We will read 'A Big Fish for Max'🎣🐰, from pages 16 - 33 in our Reading Street (1.2) books.

- We will read it again because there will be questions about the story in the written exam on March 29th.


Worksheet: (due Friday)

Take your time to go through the worksheet. Each section will help students to get ready for the written exam.

Bubble Book:

- We will write out our new Vocabulary Words 1-18(<--- please note) in our bubble book. You can find these words on page 4 in the Communication Book.

Practice writing each Vocabulary Word (X1) neatly on the green line.


- Check corrections - Check if there is a star '*', you will need to write the sentence again.

- Write the date at the top - Monday (3/21)

- Write the VWs and number; 1-18 (<--- please note)

- Then write 3 sentences and number each one; 1, 2, 3

For example:

1. You said we need to stay inside.

2. I am good because I listen to the teacher.

3. I can walk while I talk.

- In each sentence, underline each VW used.

LISTENING EXAM:

·        Communication book vocabulary Weeks 2-6

ORAL EXAM:   

Reading benchmark of an unseen text and answering comprehension questions.

WRITTEN EXAM

Vocabulary Comprehension:  Vocabulary words from weeks 2-6)

Story comprehension (understanding of the story):

·        A Big Fish for Max

·        The Farmer in the Hat

Phonics:

Students may be asked to identify:

  • Digraphs sh, th, all, al
  • Long vowel a_e
  • Consonants soft c and soft g
