Week 2: Friday (9/10)
Today we wrote our very 1st (practice) quiz!
Quiz papers have been checked and sent home. The quiz was a learning experience for the students, not any kind of formal assessment. Encourage your children and know we will continue working hard together.
The results for our first quiz today:
100% 17 students (hooray!)
>80% 13 students
>60% 4 student
>40% 3 students (Don't worry, it was only a practice round)
>20% 0 students
Please sign the top right box and return it to school on Monday.
Students need to realize how important it is not to look around or talk during a quiz, even if it's just to say, "finished" or "that was easy". It's better to have a formal environment during quiz or test time. But DON'T WORRY, it's our 1st time!
Students should also follow my instructions so they don't miss anything. In other words, don't rush ahead.
We also did a fun spelling activity, something relaxed after a quiz. They have brought these home.
Homework tonight is: 'Preview Week 3 Vocabulary Words'. Just looking ahead at them, no writing required.
Thank you and have a happy Friday,
Tr. Megan.
