Wonderful Wednesday Dear Parents, What a wonderful semester it has been! As we come to the end of the school year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the many accomplishments of our Grade 1 A1 students. This will be my final blog of the school year as your child's A1 teacher. Next year, Ms. Megan will be returning to teach your children, and I am sure the students will be excited to welcome their teacher back. Parents, please continue your wonderful support and dedication at home. Your involvement has made a tremendous difference, and your children are fortunate to have such caring families supporting their learning journey. I am extremely pleased with the progress, determination, and positive attitude that the students have demonstrated throughout the year. Learning a new language can be challenging, but the children consistently showed a willingness to participate, learn, and do their very best. Their hard work has helped them grow in all areas of English, including read...
Terrific Thursday: Hello Parents, Today marked the end of this semester's testing. The students completed their final exam corrections and had the opportunity to review their work. This was a very exciting time for the children, as many were eager to see how they performed and were proud of the effort they put into their exams. There were lots of smiles and positive reactions. As I mentioned to the students, the Oral Exams were the most valuable assessment tool for me as a teacher. While written exams provide important information about vocabulary, grammar, reading, and writing skills, the Oral Exam is where I can truly assess a student's progress and fluency in English. It allows me to evaluate pronunciation, sentence structure, comprehension, confidence, and the ability to communicate naturally in English. I am very pleased with the progress I observed during the Oral Exams. Many students demonstrated significant growth compared to the beginning of the semester. They ...

Terrific Tuesday; Hello Parents: Today, the students completed a review worksheet in class. I will post it in the “LINE” group for reference and as an additional opportunity to review at home before tomorrow's exam. The main area that needs extra practice is the vocabulary words. Please encourage your child to spend some time reviewing them this evening. Please make sure your child gets a good night's sleep and comes to school well-rested and ready for the test. Please arrive at school on time. Each student should bring: • 2 sharpened pencils • An eraser • A ruler • A highlighter Thank you for your support, and good luck to all of our student’s tomorrow!  Magic Monday   Hello Parents, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! This week, we will focus on reviewing for the Final Written Exam. The students will also complete the final draft of their last writing assignment for Grade 1. This assignment is an important part of their writing assessment for the 2025–2026 academic school year. As we reach the end of the semester, this is a great time for students to reflect on their Grade 1 experiences and begin preparing for the exciting challenges of Grade 2. There will be no formal homework for the next two days. However, students are still encouraged to complete their Daily Self-Reflections and continue practicing Sensay. Please spend some time reviewing vocabulary words with your child, as vocabulary is often the area where students make the most mistakes on exams. It is also very helpful for students to review the three stories we have studied this quarter: • Bigger Shoes for the Big Race • The Ant and the Grasshoppe...
FANTASTIC FRIDAY: Hello Parents, We are now halfway through our Final Exams, and the hardest part is behind us! Since this is a standardized exam for all levels, next Wednesday's Final Written Exam should be much more manageable for our A1 students. The best preparation I can recommend is reviewing the Exam Review Worksheet. The test will follow the same format, with different vocabulary words, questions, and fill-in-the-blank items. However, the overall structure will be very similar. The most important thing your child can do is make sure they can spell all of the vocabulary words from Weeks 12–17. Beyond that, there is no need for extensive studying. Please don't over-study! Thank you for your support, and I am confident the students will do well! Have a restful, safe weekend. Homework: June 12th   Friday 星期五 □1. MV:  Review three stories from My View 1.2 (1) &1.3(2) □2. Write VW’s #         ...
Tiring Thursday Hey parents;  Today was a quieter day for the students as much of our class time was dedicated to Oral Exams. Most students have already completed their exams; however, I still have a few students who will need to be assessed tomorrow. There are only a small number remaining, and they will be given the same amount of time and attention as the first group received. Tonight's homework is very minimal. The students have a Final Written Exam Review Worksheet to complete. Please allow your child to complete this worksheet independently, as no assistance should be necessary. This will help me identify any areas that may need additional review before the exam. Please have your child return the worksheet tomorrow so we can correct it together in class. Once corrected, it will be returned to the students as a study guide for their final written exam. Thank you for your continued support.   Homework: June 11th Thursday 星期四 □1. MV:  ...
